George Albert Hotel & Spa

This was probably the fourth time we had stayed at the George Albert. We have always enjoyed our stay and no different this time. The staff are so very friendly and accommodating. The Chef also happily amended the menu to accommodate my diet requirements. Its ideally located for visiting all the places we wanted to see. We hope to return again in the future.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. We held a 2 day business meeting for over 20 people. Good meeting room and space, Great food, great waiting staff in the restaurant. Comfortable, clean, spacious rooms with with room to work. All in all, a nice surprise.

Arrived today for Sunday carvery, Very nice food I thought very tasty beef and the pork very succulent, although my wife is gluten free they were excellent in their choice and knowledge off available choice to which she could have basically almost everything on the menu. Carvery only £18.50 pp. Although drinks a little dear.all Said we will go back again staff very attentive and helpful.

Once you were through the main doors, the welcome and quality of this hotel was excellent. All the staff were lovely and our room was really nice. We only had breakfast in the hotel but it was of a very good standard and plentiful. If we are ever in that area of the country again, we would not hesitate to go back to The George Albert.

Very friendly staff,clean room and nice bathroom room also great service. The food was great and also very nice environment,located in the countryside with a kings theme,nice picture of Martin Luther king on the wall and a mixture of different art, all in all a nice stay,very personal service,I would recommend anyone to stay here.

We dined in the restaurant for my son’s birthday and the staff were wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious and chef would change and adapt dishes on request. Very relaxed atmosphere where nothing was too much trouble. They even did a birthday desert for him! Would recommend a visit and the food!

Quiet,Clean and friendly hotel, Staff extremely friendly and helpful, large bedroom and lovely comfortable large bed. Hotel very clean throughout. Breakfast very good, service was excellent. A real gem of a hotel. Only stayed for one night but would return if in this area again.

We booked a couple of nights when we attended a friends wedding and the Wedding Breakfast was being held at the hotel. Friendly warm welcome, and a good sized clean bedroom, so a good start to the weekend. The first night we dined in the hotel restaurant, with another couple, the menu is not extensive but there was a good choice of starters and main courses. All the food we had was good quality and the service excellent, and again really friendly. The cooked breakfast the following day was also very good, and again really friendly staff. If I had one criticsm it would be there was a limited choice of alternatives if a traditional "English Breakfast" is not your thing. Though it wont apply to everyone the Wedding Celebrations were well organised, plenty of food and again all the staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

We had our wedding reception here and we can not thank the team at the George Albert enough. Ed was so helpful, kind and responsive throughout the whole process of us planning our wedding. Deborah was incredibly helpful, kind and efficient the day before and on our wedding day. Will was so kind and supportive to our niece who was our MC on the day and generally supportive to us as a couple making sure everything was running smoothly on the day and we were ok. We felt like we were in safe hands. All the team were friendly and helpful at our reception, everything went with out a hitch and everyone was so professional and efficient. Pretty much from the moment people arrived for the reception I did not have to think about a thing as the team were aware of our plan and carried it out in a professional, calm and friendly manner so it all felt seamless for us and gave me confidence that it was all going to be ok and go according to our plan! The food was brilliant and we have had so many positive comments about the food from guests who attended the wedding, commenting on how lovely the food tasted, how well it was cooked and perfect portions. The team were accommodating with us needing to set up the day before and their organisation in order that we could pack up things from the reception the next day was a great help. We wanted all the guests who stayed for the wedding to have breakfast together the next day and also had family and friends come back to join us all for breakfast the next day and the team were so nice and accommodating in setting up a room for this making this happen for us. Our room was comfortable with good facilities (and good tea availability!) Thank you so much to you all, we really appreciate everyone at the George Albert's efforts to enable us and our guests to enjoy our wedding day to the maximum.
